This Privacy Policy explains what information FOREsight (the "Service") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address, used to sign in (we use passwordless magic-link sign-in) and to contact you about your account.
- Alert preferences. The courses, dates, time windows, and party sizes you choose to watch, so we can send you relevant alerts.
- Notification details. If you enable push notifications, a browser push subscription; if you use Discord alerts, the webhook you provide. These let us deliver your alerts.
- Billing information. When you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your payment details. We do not see or store your full card number. We retain limited records such as your subscription status and customer identifier.
- Usage and device data. Basic technical data such as IP address and browser type, collected by our hosting provider to operate and secure the Service.
How we use your information
- To operate the Service and deliver the tee time alerts you request.
- To create and manage your account and authenticate your sign-in.
- To process your subscription, billing, and free trial.
- To communicate with you about your account, alerts, and important Service updates.
- To monitor, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers we share with
We share information with trusted providers only as needed to run the Service:
- Stripe for payment processing and subscription management.
- Cloudflare for hosting, content delivery, and security.
- Resend for sending account and sign-in emails.
- Push and messaging providers (such as your browser's push service and Discord) to deliver the notifications you opt into.
These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and similar browser storage for essential functions such as keeping you signed in and remembering your preferences (for example, your favorite courses). We do not use them for third-party advertising.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Historical availability data we collect to power our monitoring is automatically pruned over time. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal or accounting obligations.
Your choices and rights
- You can update your alert preferences and notification settings at any time in your account.
- You can cancel your subscription anytime (see our Cancellation and Refund Policy).
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing us.
- You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in those messages.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the date above when we do. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
